32 DRUG CHARGES AT HEMPFEST
Ontario Provincial Police laid 32 drug charges and four weapons
charges over the weekend during a RIDE stop set up during Hempfest
2007.
OPP say most of the drug charges were for possession of marijuana.
Police found approximately two pounds of marijuana in one instance.
That person was charged with possession for the purpose of
trafficking.
Police also made one seizure of magic mushrooms.
The RIDE stop saw 11 criminal charges laid, including four weapons
charges. Three knives and one spiked wrist band were discovered.
Police also charged three people with breaches of probation, and
picked up one young person on a Canada-wide warrant for five breaches.
Seven liquor charges were laid, for either having open liquor in a
vehicle or being a minor in possession of liquor.
