YORK CONSTABLE, HUSBAND FACE DRUG CHARGES

A York Regional Police officer has been suspended from duty and, along with
her husband, is facing drug charges.

The investigation started Friday when officers stopped a man driving a car
in East Gwillimbury. Police allege they found cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana
and hashish.

The find led to a search of a home in the town of Georgina. Authorities say
they found more marijuana, cocaine and other controlled substances in the
house.

Andrew Marter faces several drug possession and production charges. The
suspect is the husband of York Regional Police Constable Nadine Morcos.

She is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of
trafficking.
