MARIJUANA PARTY PICKS CANDIDATE

Victoria's Marijuana party candidate in the Jan. 23 federal election
is Fred Mallach, 49, an architectural technologist who has lived in
the city since 1993.

Mallach cites housing, education, health care and the environment as
his four key issues in this election.

The other candidates in the riding are Robin Baird, Conservative;
Ariel Lade, Green; David Mulroney, Liberal; and Denise Savoie, NDP.

The Marijuana party will hold an open house Jan. 11 to provide more
information about its policies. Hours are 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the
Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in the Community Use Room.

Light refreshments will be served and a donation to the local food
bank would be appreciated. For information call 389-1991.
