"WE CAN'T cope", runs the headline in the Evening news (May 22). Of course, we can't cope since just the symptoms of the disease are being treated rather than the cause. The cause is the drug pushers. These criminals destroy whole communities and are much worse than an individual who may take just one life. Drug pushing should carry the death penalty without leave to appeal. "Turn the tap off" by dealing with the pushers, then think about education and rehabilitation, something which has been going on for years without success. P.J.
