Medical cannabis take-up hampered by lack of research and red tape

I picked up a View magazine while I was waiting for the bus a few weeks back. There was an article on the 15 or so uses of cannabis, so after I caught up with CATCH (Citizens at City Hall), I turned to the article on cannabis looking for some useful information.

By this time, I was on the bus, seated on a side seat, next to an elderly woman. I could feel she was reading over my shoulder, so I turned to her slightly. She asked me the name of the paper and we started a conversation about cannabis.

I envision a future where users can buy a gram from the little old lady next door

I don't want to write another LRT column, but I did want to say thank you to the councillors who voted in favour of the LRT for the 53rd time. Or is that the 54th? Does the vote to defer the vote count as a vote? Thank you to those who changed their position from "No" to "Yes". For those who voted "No", I hope you have the grace to accept the will of the people and get on board this exciting new phase of Hamilton's development.

Trudeau Brings Some Badly Needed Honesty to the Pot Debate

Is anyone really surprised that Justin Trudeau "once" smoked pot at a dinner party with his wife and friends and, important to note, sans enfants? Really?

I'm not. What I find surprising is his admission that he did, in fact, smoke a spliff. I hope he inhaled it deeply and to great effect. Good for you, Justin, for coming clean. So many people hide the fact for the repercussions it brings.
