BANDON - Students may soon be required to participate in a drug-testing program in order to play on a sports team or participate in an activity at Bandon High School. The policy, if adopted, would be one of only two used in high schools on the South Coast. The Port Orford School District has had a random drug-testing policy for athletes for at least eight years, according to BHS Athletic Director James Freitag.
