Removal Of Fort Myers Police Chief Sought

In his jail booking photo, Jadell Gilyard's left eye is swollen shut, a large gash visible beneath it.

To Fort Myers police, Gilyard was a drug offender who violently resisted officers during a late August arrest. To leaders of the African-American community, Gilyard was viciously beaten without cause.

Black leaders have called for the removal of Fort Myers police Chief Hilton C. Daniels and demanded independent intervention in the case, saying a recent report approving the officers' use of force on Gilyard was one-sided and unacceptable.

Nanton News -- With reference to the two responses to my previous letter on the dangers of using crystal meth, I can imagine what the Reverend James Lunsford of the First Cannabist Church was on, but for the life of me I can't guess what Chris Buors was smoking to produce such a diatribe in support of the use of such a poison as crystal meth.

In recent weeks we have heard much of the deadly addictive effect of the drug known as crystal meth. The federal government actually went as far as to increase the maximum penalty for manufacturing, trafficking and distribution of this wickedly addictive poison.

That said, shortly afterwards, a senior judge in Calgary was interviewed on TV and he stated that he doubted if anyone would receive the recommended penalty of life imprisonment because of certain restrictions created by Canada's Human Rights legislation and other laws on the books.

The United States Government is involved in their so called "Fight On Drugs'" in Columbia as a coverup for evicting thousands of farmers off their land. relocating families in Concentration Camps with little food, limiting them to less than 15 gallons of water per family per day, and often no water is delivered to the camps for weeks. Little to no medical help is available.

Our Government is involved in Cocaine Importing and Marketing, and since I don't believe in beating around the bush, plain and simple these are Gangsters, and it is time we called them out to face charges for their crimes against humanity.
