SAN BERNARDINO - The Drug Enforcement Administration on Tuesday raided two medical-marijuana clinics on Highland Avenue, seizing dozens of pounds of marijuana, hash and edible products containing the drug. "No arrests were made pursuant to the search warrants, however, local authorities did take one individual into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant on unrelated charges," said DEA spokeswoman Sarah Pullen. Both businesses - Alternative Solutions Patient Care and Advanced Healing Qualified Patients Association - had been fined for violating city codes and were told by the DEA to shut down for violating federal law. SAN BERNARDINO - A convicted pot dealer who was shot and killed by San Bernardino police Monday night grabbed an officer's genitals and his Taser gun before police shot him, police said. The account differs from a story given by family members of Cedric James May, 22. They say May was dragged out of a vehicle, beaten and shot after being handcuffed. 2 Suspects Escape After Deputies Fired at in Raid LYTLE CREEK - Members of a drug task force shot and killed one man and launched a manhunt for two others after they discovered an outdoor marijuana farm containing about 3,000 plants. Deputies from the Campaign Against Marijuana Production - a group of local and federal law enforcement officers - were forced to open fire when one of the men guarding the farm shot at them, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said. Ranks Fifth in Seizures Under State Eradication Program The devious mountain landscape almost masked a big mystery from a random hiker who stumbled upon 1,500 marijuana plants one day in July. While it was a significant find, sheriff's deputies familiar with the rugged terrain ventured farther into the Angelus Oaks woods and found about 53,000 more plants, one of the largest busts in county history. It's been a good year for San Bernardino County law enforcement in terms of marijuana plant seizures. The Sheriff's Department found and removed more than 97,000 plants, the most since 1991. ONTARIO -- A man featured in an article Sunday about his struggles with marijuana laws was arrested Tuesday after narcotics officers found 38 pot plants at his home, police said. Ontario police staked out the home of David Fawcett, 45, at 9 a.m. Tuesday and pulled him over after he got into his pickup truck about two hours later, said Ontario Police Detective Mike Macias. Police came to Fawcett's residence in the 1100 block of East Bermuda Dunes Street after speaking with San Bernardino County Probation Department officials about their plans to search his home.
