CHARACTER ASSASSINATION

The media claim that it's the people's right to know. I call some of
it character assassination, and you hide behind the First Amendment.
In their zeal, the media forget other people's rights. Disinformation
becomes a feeding frenzy.

A lot of the voting public use the media to help make choices. But by
using misinformation and disinformation instead of truth, people and
issues become tainted. The media have anointed themselves judge and
jury, and they feel that only they, as a group, have the intelligence
to pick a party, president or whatever.

I read all I can on candidates and issues. Now I have to question
every source, word, innuendo and even the person who is informing me.
It's sad, but I have serious misgivings about most of the media.
