POT PROHIBITION WON'T WORK EITHER

Thanks for further publicizing the zany ideas coming out of the office of
the Florida czar of drugs, Jim McDonough.(Scary Solution For Pot Plants, Aug 3)

Down here in Florida, we pride ourselves on having plenty of smart folks.
But federal imports like our Czar McDonough still insist on infecting our
state with 'silly syndrome'.

But perhaps we should not be so hard on either our czar, or his boss Czar
McCaffrey in Washington DC. They have been given a literally impossible
commission. And that is to eradicate the voluntary and consensual
activities of between 20 and 30 million Americans -- those adults who
responsibly use marijuana.

History accurately shows how Prohibition of normal human behavior failed
miserably in the 1920's. The czars seem intent on repeating that failure
now at the turn of a new century.

Perhaps its time we stopped the War On (some)Drugs and freed our czars for
more creative tasks elsewhere.
