CITY TEEN KILLED IN ALBERTA DRUG BUST

EDMONTON - One of two males who died while trying to evade
police in a mammoth drug bust was a Calgary teen.

Meanwhile, police have arrested another man in connection with
Friday's sweeping drug bust as they continued their clampdown on the
city's cocaine trade.

The man was arrested at his workplace in Edmonton yesterday, bringing
the total number of arrests to 29, said Sgt. Bryan Boulanger of the
Edmonton Police Service.

Police have issued warrants for the arrest of 13 others who have not
yet been located.

A 21-year-old man who was critically injured during a raid Friday died
in hospital early yesterday.

The man was one of three people who ran onto a fourth-floor balcony
and clamoured outside the railing as police were attempting to enter
their apartment unit.

Police say one of the men climbed back onto the balcony, but the
21-year-old and a 15-year-old Calgary youth fell or jumped onto the
asphalt parking lot four storeys below.

The youth died in hospital Friday afternoon. Police have released no
other details about the two deaths which will be subject to a fatality
inquiry.

Autopsies will be conducted tomorrow but the deaths are not being
treated as criminal.

The apartment was one of more than three dozen locations raided in the
Edmonton area, Fort McMurray, Red Deer and Ponoka, in addition to
areas of the Northwest Territories and B.C.
