DRUG MONEY FOUND IN MERCER COUNTY

More than $110,000 in U.S. currency was found in the bottom of a 5 gallon
bucket of drywall compound in the trunk of a car, late last night, along
I-80, in Mercer County. State Police at Mercer stopped the driver for
speeding and lane violations. However, they suspected something else was
amiss.

With the help of ``Fred''...a state police canine, a search of the car
turned up the loot. The currency is believed to be the result of narcotic
trafficking between New York City and Detroit, Michigan. Both the driver,
Julio Cruz, 38, and his passenger, Brenda Rivera, 27, both of Bronx, New
York, have an extensive narcotic trafficking history, according to state
police.
