A ground-breaking jury decision in Manchester Crown Court has set
Colin Davies free after he supplied cannabis to people in medical need
even though in the eyes of the law he is a criminal.

If anyone involved with prosecuting Mr Davies had thought of justice a
little earlier they would have recognised that this case was not in
the public interest and dismissed it before it came to court.

With all the unsolved crime in this country, it is surely not
unreasonable to suggest that the police concentrate on something a
little more serious than cannabis.
