"We hope we can solve this before any more of this type of thing happens, which is potentially very dangerous," said Delafield Police Chief Jack Arndt. "Even if this was the first time they did this, they will be inclined to do it again if they get desperate." Police are seeking a man and woman who entered the Gollash Pharmacy, 2810 Heritage Drive, about 9:00 p.m. Friday, brandishing a long-barrel silver revolver. The couple shared the revolver as they ordered employees to the ground and while a pharmacist obtained narcotics the duo demanded, according to Delafield Police Capt. Scott Taubel. Police and store officials said the employees avoided injury by following directions. "They were real specific in the drugs they wanted," said Taubel, who declined to disclose the names of the drugs. Richard Pearson, vice president for Gollash Pharmacy, whose corporate headquarters is in Brookfield, said Tuesday that the employees would be offered counseling to cope with the trauma. "With this kind of an incident, the potential for injury is so high that I'm really thankful that no one was injured," he said. Sheriff's Capt. Terry Martorano, head of the Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit, said armed robberies of prescription drugs are rare. Delafield police contacted the drug unit for help identifying possible suspects. "This is someone with a very definite hang-up on these drugs," he said. Martorano said the market is big for prescription drugs on the street, drawing anywhere from $2 to $20 per pill. The female robber is described as white, about 30 to 40 years old, measuring 5 feet 7 inches and weighing 140 to 145 pounds. She had a noticeable belly and her long brown hair was worn in a loose ponytail. She was wearing a pinkish T-shirt with unknown writing and dark shorts. The male robber appeared frail and sickly. He was white, about 30 to 40 years old with a short, thin build measuring about 5-foot-5. He may have had graying hair. He wore a Packers T-shirt, jeans and brown, work-type boots. He walked with a limp and was somewhat hunched over, with his left shoulder dropping lower than the right. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Delafield police at 646-6240. - --- Checked-by: (Joel W. Johnson)
