STAND UP AGAINST SOROS' DRUG LIBERALS

Governments of the world must stand up against drug liberalism. The UN
session on narcotics is promising. Politicians must never fall for the
cynical surrender that the legalization movement stand for. Today the
Swedish social minister Margot Wallstrom will address the UN about the
importance to fight against drugs. Queen Silvia of Sweden is taking part of
the panel discussion about children, youth and narcotics during the UN
meeting about drugs. It is nice that Sweden can show a broad unity on the
narcotics issue.

Yesterday an uncomfortable announcement by the Lindesmith Center was
published in the New York Times, aimed at the UN.

Singing Praise for Legalization

More than 600 persons had signed a demand to stop the war on drugs, among
others well known Swedes such as judge Ingemar Rexed, author Peter Curman,
criminologist Jerzy Sarnecki, Dagens Nyheters former senior editor Olof
Lagercrantz and former director for the Social Ministry Claes Ortendahl.

The latter has informed Dagens Nyheter that he does not support the
announcement. He can not explain how his name is listed on the
proclamation. He supports the Swedish restrictive approach. Thanks and
praise.

It is remarkable that radical and intellectual persons like Curman,
Sarnecki and Lagercrantz are singing along with the neoliberal chorus
praising legalization.

The proclamation is a part of a drug liberal campaign sponsored by the
multimillionaire George Soros.

There are no simple solutions to the problem of narcotics. Opinions differ
even in Sweden, whether narcotics is best fought with longer penalties or
social justice. But all the parliaments parties agree that the drugs should
not be legalized. The fight against drugs must be fought on several
frontiers, both with law enforcement and socially.

The Swedish restrictive policy has shown to give much better protection
against the human and social hell of drug abuse than the lose rules of the
Netherlands for example. In Sweden it is only small extreme right-wing
groups that embrace drug liberalism.

Victory for Humanism

In EU however strong winds has been blowing for drug liberalization.
Instead of actively fighting the reasons for abuse - unemployment,
segregation and economic injustice - some EU parliament members chose to
espouse free drugs. Resigned they become victims to the lobby groups of
the cynical drug liberals.

Aftonbladet reported earlier this year how the drug liberals in the lobby
group Cora was operating from an office in the middle of the EU parliament.
The articles made big headlines. Now the EU parliament has decided that
Cora immediate shall be thrown out from the parliament building. That is a
victory for humanism. Hopefully the UN through its member countries can
agree on a forceful agenda against narcotics. The governments of the world
must stand up against the campaign by the drug liberals.
