GUTLESS WONDERS

Why don't our leaders impeach old what's-his-name and get on with running
the government? Like us, they got no guts, friends.

We "waffle" on control of our children. They run amok in the streets, die
from drugs, kill for kicks, and run over once-respected and adored teachers
like bullies trampling 97- pound weaklings -- all this because we are afraid
to listen to them, hug them, take names and kick rears when necessary. Most
of all, we lack the courage to set a good example for them to follow.

We are afraid to use the centuries-old English language to express ourselves
by calling a spade a spade. Instead we have created a neo-garble that we
call "political correctness" to replace fearful truth and to cover our
cowardice.

We lack the chutzpah to legalize drugs, which would cripple the power and
money and bring to a halt the fruitless war against the demon that is wiping
out a generation of young people and making quivering chattel of the rest of
us.

Republicans and Democrats alike are so terrified of losing an election that
not one will risk standing and being a true leader with enough effrontery to
say:

"People, get a life! Know that we will take out Iraqi, North Korean and
Caucasus dictators by any means available and necessary. Understand that the
president is no leader but simply a clone of you out there who travel the
easy `for me' street. He's out of here! We must get on with living up to the
name of the greatest country in the world!"

Hey, it's never too late to act on the courage of one's convictions.
