COCKBURN, TIMES DISPLAY DISTORTED SENSE OF NEWS

Alexander Cockburn, and The Seattle Times, have a distorted sense of news
in reporting that the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) knew of and abetted
the Nicaraguan contra drug sales in Los Angeles to raise money for their
military operations ("Confirming CIA complicity in contra drug activities,"
column, Oct. 29).

Where's the sex? Where's the extramarital affair? Reagan (and Bush) no
longer president? No problem. It's Clinton's fault.
