Source: San Luis Obispo Telegram-Tribune Contact: Fri, 30 Jan 1998 Page: B-3, Police/Fire Log Police/Fire Log OCEANO -- Sheriff's narcotics detectives arrested three people and recovered about 3 ounces of suspected methamphetamine from an Oceano mobile home Friday morning. Sheriff's detectives, with the help of a Pismo Beach Police Department canine unit, searched 2700 Cienega, Space 4, where they found the methamphetamine, hidden behind a wall and packaged for sale. The resident, Claudia Norman, 37, was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine for sale and child endangerment. A disable 4-year-old boy was taken from the scene and turned over to Child Protective Services. Also arrested were John Arthur Card Jr., 37, of Orcutt and Carol E. Thackaberry, 25, of Santa Maria. All three were booked into county Jail. Norman is being held on $15,000 bail, and Card is being held without bail. Thackaberry was released on $5,000 bail. The arrests were the result of a three-week investigation by sheriff's detectives.
