ACT MLA Michael Moore, who has been made Health Minister in the Carnell Government, has been a fierce campaigner for the now defunct heroin trial in Canberra, and other harm-minimisation policies. Mr Moore says while other ministers will be aware of his views, he is confident he will not be treated as a drug law reform extremist. "There's no doubt people around the table will know I've been a spokesman for the Australian Parliamentary Group for Drug Law Reform," he said. "But it's another view being brought to the table."
