Pubdate: Tue, 12 Aug 1997 .c Kyodo News Service NAHA, Japan, Aug. 12 (Kyodo) The Regional Narcotics Control Office of the Health and Welfare Ministry in Japan's southernmost prefecture of Okinawa sent a report to prosecutors Tuesday on two U.S. Marine Corps corporals suspected of violating drug laws. According to officials of the Okinawa office, the two 21yearold corporals assigned to the Futemma base in central Okinawa, were arrested July 22 by the U.S. military police on suspicion of possessing 240 tablets of LSD with a street value estimated at 1.2 million yen. The two obtained some 300 tablets of LSD in early June and sold 60 of them for 3,000 to 5,000 yen each to other U.S. military personnel and customers of a disco near the base, the officials said.
