ARGENTINEAN OFFICER CLAIMS MICE GOT REALLY HIGH AFTER EATING A
HALF-TON OF MARIJUANA

A haul of marijuana, weighing 13,227.74 pounds (6,000 kg) had been
stored in a warehouse in Pilar, northwest of Buenos Aries, for two
years. When a new police commissioner took over for Javier Specia, he
noticed 1,191 pounds missing from the warehouse.

Specia told a judge that the missing marijuana was eaten by mice,
according to BBC. But the judge doesn't quite believe that story.

According to experts at Buenos Aires University, "mice wouldn't
mistake the drug for food" -- and even if they did, "a lot of corpses
would have been found in the warehouse," a spokesperson for Judge
Adrian Gonzalez Charvay said.

Specia and other officers will testify on May 4.

Specia is also under investigation for not filing a sworn income
statement for 2017.
