Gazette, Dec. 15) Sex education is a good thing. Even better would be 
separate classes for boys and girls so everyone can feel free to ask any 
question without being inhibited or fearful of being laughed at.

I would suggest there be specially trained professionals who go from
school to school or teachers who get special training in-house.

Giving power to girls as well as boys to say "no" with pride and
conviction is a wonderful thing, and not just when it comes to sex.

Wish there had been effective classes about the harmful effects of
drugs years back, so families could have been spared the result of
their children getting involved with things that could have been avoided.

It's never too late though, especially now with the coming
legalization of recreational marijuana. Something else to think about
adding to the curriculum.
