CONDO OWNERS WILL BE BURNED BY LEGAL POT

Alberta condo dwellers are in for a terrible ride with the NDP
marijuana legislation plan. Most condos are high-density buildings
where small units are crammed together and where the attitudes and
behaviours of others directly affect their neighbours.

We already hear of people smoking "whatever" on balconies or in units
where smoke drifts next door negatively affecting the health, property
values and quality of life of others. Now our federal government is
giving people, who might not even be owners, permission to carry on.

Smoking "whatever" and drinking alcohol often go together. How are
police, condo boards and managers to deal with condo owners and others
who do both and then behave badly? What is going to happen when board
members do the same thing? How are condo owners, who aren't behaving
badly, to deal with that?

In Alberta, we have incomplete, substandard, costly and punishing
condo legislation that doesn't come close to addressing real-life
issues and now our federal government introduces marijuana into the
mix.

Condo owners need to quickly educate themselves on how they could be
negatively affected by this law and then document their concerns to
Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Notley.
