ILLICIT POT SALES WILL CONTINUE

Re Latest plan won't stunt marijuana black market, Hebert, Sept. 9

Kudos to Chantal Hebert for pointing out that legalization of
marijuana will not dissuade illicit sales, as Prime Minister Justin
Trudeau claims.

We only have to look to Colorado and Washington, which legalized
marijuana only to find a flourishing black market controlled by
organized crime. Ontario already has established organized crime
groups distributing illicit cigarettes and other commodities, meaning
they only have to shift to growing and selling marijuana.

Sadly, none of this is being seriously evaluated, along with the
impact on our ailing health-care system, as the Kathleen Wynne
provincial government rushes ahead with plans to distribute marijuana
and reap the anticipated windfall.
