DRUG DEALERS BEWARE: RCMP

White Rock officers cracking down on drug trafficking

White Rock RCMP have a stern message for those who peddle drugs in the
city.

"If you deal drugs in White Rock you are not welcome here. Prepare to
be arrested. We will not tolerate the misery and pain you are bringing
into the community," White Rock RCMP Staff Sgt. Daryl Creighton said
in an emailed statement Friday afternoon.

The news release comes on the heels of "significant" street level drug
seizures and arrests in White Rock.

In the last several months, four individuals have been arrested.
Police have seized cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and carfentanil in an
amount equivalent to 1,500 doses.

Among those arrested were a 38-year-old man from Surrey and a
33-year-old man from White Rock.

"Laboratory results associated to drugs seized during these
investigation have detected a number of opioids, which the BC Coroner
has linked to the possible overdose and/or death, in a report issued
last week," the RCMP statement said.

Charges are expected to be laid against the arrested individuals.
Police cannot reveal their identities until the suspects have been
charged.

The release notes that White Rock RCMP are committed to finding,
identifying and arresting anyone involved in the drug trafficking
trade in the community. Residents with information on drug trafficking
in the White Rock area are asked to call the White Rock RCMP at
