In chasing these self-inflicted overdosed people, are we neglecting those who need emergency personnel for legal, not criminal, issues, such as accidents, heart attacks, other injuries etc.? Are we shelving other emergency issues for these selfish citizens? Politicians are scrambling and tripping over each other to project a perception that they have your best interests at heart by opening injection sites and indirectly condoning the use of these drugs. It's better to throw our money at locating more doctors, who will help the majority of our citizens in times of need. If you are using, or trying out these drugs, the politicians are stating to come and use these sites, even though there is no guarantee they can save your life. They will make it safer for you to use illegal drugs, at the taxpayer's expense. Just what kind of politicians have we elected, to openly condone the use of these drugs by self-inflicted drug users? Remember, these self-inflicted drug users are a very small minority in political terms but are using the greatest amount of our medical resources. Frank De Smet, Kamloops - --- MAP posted-by:
