LAWS SHOULD REFLECT NEW REALITY

Data provided by the Colorado Department of Health and by the
Washington State Institute of Public Policy do not report any increase
in teen marijuana use following legalization in those states.
According to a September analysis by the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention, the perceived availability of marijuana by persons
aged 12 to 17 has decreased 13% nationally since 2002.

Despite nearly a century of criminal prohibition, marijuana is here to
stay. America's laws should reflect this reality and govern the
marijuana market accordingly.
