LEGALIZATION A SLAP IN FACE TO OFFICERS

In response to July 8th editorial in the Yuma Sun, about the panel
finding major revenue potential in marijuana. "Slap in the face."
Major concern with the legalization of marijuana in any format,
medical or recreational, is that we are a border town.

We here in the Yuma area are very proud of our Border Patrol
officers, and law enforcement officers.

They are on their toes when it comes to protecting us from illegal
people trying to beat the system by, "jumping the wall."

And they do a great job at trying to stop the flow of all drugs
across our borders.

There isn't a week that goes by without this newspaper reporting a
large marijuana stop and the rest of the traffickers.

So , now wouldn't it be a "slap in the face" of our hardworking men
and women in the dangerous job of the Border Patrol and law
enforcement officers, when they confiscate millions of dollars in
marijuana at our border, only to have our own city growers,
harvester, transporters, sellers, buyers and users on this side of the border!

All for the opportunity to get "free" bucks in taxes that never go to
fund what they proposed.

As for this guy, I am apologizing ahead of time to all of our
officers. Sorry, all your hard work was in vain.
