CHANGES ON LAW NEED TO BE MADE

Dear Editor: Another family in Saskatchewan has had their CW
Botanicals oil for Epilepsy seized by customs this past week.

I speak for all these families and am asking the government to quickly
take CBD from the Schedule 2 drug list which will allow the CW
Botanicals proven oil for children to come to Canada without the
threat of Customs seizing this product.

This is costing these families at least $400 every time, not to
mention the fear of their child having a seizure due to a lesser
quality or inconsistent oil.

In Canada, just because Health Canada has licensed a producer, does
not mean the oil they produce is of the highest quality and is
effective for Epilepsy. Remember the recall on a Tilray product last
year?

Canadian LP's do not have the years of experience and science behind
their products to date as CW Botanicals has, and they do not
concentrate their efforts on children as with the Stanley Bros and
Charlotte's Web oil.

Regulations do not ensure that the public has all the organic growing
information with type of plant, as well as the specific ingredients
needed to make an informed decision for their child. We have huge
potential going forward, and the LP's have a great opportunity here.

My hope for future legalization is that no one has to struggle to help
their child. Our family has struggled every step of the way on this
journey, breaking the law at times to give our granddaughter relief.
My husband, Chris Nuessler, retired RCMP officer has stated from the
beginning that he believes our justice system will side in our favour
at the Supreme Court level. He is proven right with the Allard
decision of recent and the Owen Smith decision.

I am speaking at two events coming up, one at UBCO on April 30 at the
Kelowna campus, and my audience is large in support of the families
who wish to quietly continue the use of this precious oil who
ultimately hold their breath with each new order and it actually arriving.

It has been suggested that I lie low, keep quiet so many families
continue to get their oil, under the radar. This is wrong! Changes
need to be made! I am frustrated having to sneak around this issue
leaving every odd family to their own devices.
