CANNABIS AS AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT? THAT'S A REACH

All of the local newspapers carried an insert last week, "The real
face of Cannabis Farming." Was this a promotion for committing a
federal felony?

It is a federal felony to cultivate or dispense a Schedule 1 drug
like cannabis, illegal by Federal law. Instead of forcing this on the
citizens of Butte County, why don't they go for a federal law change?

This association glorifies "pot" use and attempts to call it an
agricultural crop. To me an agriculture crop is essential healthy
food. Marijuana is a mind-altering drug with no essential vitamins or
minerals but harmful THC, which alters the brain. Cannabis intake by
teenagers causes brain damage in young developing brains.

At the Board of Supervisors meeting demanding a vote on Measure G and
H, the same people who advocated "pot for profit" were in attendance.
There were a few new ones but the majority were the losers of Measure A.

Butte County voted in Measure A by a 65 percent majority. To assist
and help enforce measure A we have Measure G and H. Measure A will
continue but enforcement is enhanced by passing G and H.

Go to the website www.bcsane.org for the facts on these measures.

Cannabis is not an agriculture product. No health benefits can come
from a mind-altering drug. Help enforce our county from being overrun
by cannabis farmers and "pot for profit" farmers. Vote yes on G and yes on H.
