POT GROWERS ARE FAR FROM LEGITIMATE FARMERS

Regarding the letter: "Why is growing plants not considered agriculture?":

I have been a resident of Berry Creek since 1984. I have seen the
evolution of pot growing and the culture it invites. Recently that
culture seems to think it's OK to converge and take over others'
land, litter and thrown their garbage and trash on private roads and
public highways, use fertilizers and chemicals at will, place poisons
and traps to keep wildlife from eating their profits, detour water
from vital creeks and streams, and drain the aquifer to water their
"crop." Yet they want the respect and acknowledgement of being
legitimate in agriculture.

I have seen and experienced this behavior first-hand. The disrespect
of not only the environment but of non-growing neighbors is incomprehensible.
