LEGALIZE POT

Regarding "Medicinal pot" (Letters, Nov. 1), I have to agree with the
writer. Since there is no logical reason for marijuana to be illegal,
I have always suspected that not only the drug companies but the
alcohol, tobacco and cotton industries are spreading money around
Washington, D.C., to keep marijuana illegal. It's all about money.
Those people think they will lose a lot of money if marijuana is
legalized, but how can you lose what you don't have? They may not
make the obscene profits they're used to making, but they're not
losing anything. It's nothing more than basic greed. People's health
doesn't matter when it comes to the almighty dollar.
