SHERIFF'S OFFICE HAS JURISDICTIONAL CONFUSION

Why is the Butte County Sheriff's Office getting involved with
eradicating marijuana on federal lands while they turn their heads
the other way here concerning "medical marijuana growers" who are
obviously growing for profit? This is not a civil matter, to be
handled by civil penalties and fines imposed by medical marijuana
code enforcement. It is still a felony, even in this state, to grow
marijuana for profit.

The Sheriff's Office is complaining about being short of funding and
manpower. Do you think it is prudent for them to be spending this
county's time and money on activities that are actually the federal
government's responsibilities, while they shun their own
responsibilities to the people of this county? Do you believe the
federal government will decide to help the Sheriff's Office in return
for this, after this state has violated federal law by passing Proposition 215?

Or do we actually NOT have any control over the actions of our own
Sheriff's Office?
