Many semantics were brought out whereas the real issue was evaded. What is at issue is God almighty in America, the U.S. dollar and its bondage or worship between the pharmaceutical industry and the FDA. Marijuana is an herb and herbs in America are not processed by the FDA because politicians are not concerned by what a person may grow in his backyard, excepting for marijuana. I myself, as a 65-year type I diabetic, take no medications but for insulin, which is not a medication. It's a hormone. I take many herbs, such as hawthorne berry as an excellent heart protector, however, I do not smoke it. Smoking is for the development of a sense humor for non-smokers. Herbs, like foods, can be eaten with discretion. Overindulgence is a symptom so ever common in our ego medicating culture, be it alcohol, sugar, hamburgers, sex, be it -- the list is immense in our ego nurtured culture. I've a friend in Missoula who has a ginkgo tree in his back yard. Anyone for a brew of ginkgo biloba tea. It's legal. It's politicians and their laws which demonstrate a lack of creative imagination as spiritual practice. Yep! I don't do marijuana. DAVE FINK, Casper - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
