ISSUE 3 APPROVAL WOULD FORCE POT ON OHIOANS

I have read the State Issue 3 amendment summary and full amendment on
the ResponsibleOhio website, and listened to debates on National
Public Radio. I also have read the analysis of the ResponsibleOhio ad
in Tuesday's Dispatch.

There is considerable discussion on Ohio's outdated marijuana laws
and how the amendment is a fix, but no details on how the Ohio
Marijuana Control Commission would run the "business."

The Ohio Marijuana Control Commission would be very powerful,
creating all regulations and controlling all aspects of medical and
personal marijuana, including licensing, enforcement, cultivation,
infused products, distribution, permit process, sales, accessories
and taxation.

The seven ResponsibleOhio commissioners would initially be appointed
by the governor with no input from the state House of Representatives
and Senate. I do not see any other oversight of the vast sums of
money involved.

My research has enlightened me about how ResponsibleOhio is
attempting to change the law and force legalization of marijuana on Ohioans.

Legalization should not be a constitutional amendment but a
legislative proposal governed by Ohio law.

I hope others read the amendments and oppose State Issue 3.
