Phillip Boffey, science writer for The New York Times, writes that in terms of society, nicotine and alcohol are much more of a problem. However, many people like Mr. Di Maria hold on to lifelong propaganda by the federal government that marijuana use will mean the end to society as we know it. As a retired drug counselor for the San Diego Unified School District, my experience told me that alcohol is the most readily available drug. In how many car accidents is alcohol related?
