POT RAID VIDEO LAWSUIT HYPOCRITICAL

Santa Ana residents should be shocked and repelled by the lawsuit
filed by the police union to prevent the department from using the
pot shop raid video in their investigation.

That this incident has taken more than two months to
investigate with incriminating video available is simply shameful.
The big question, though, is who authorized the SWAT-style tactics
for a visit to a medical marijuana dispensary that the video
captured? Private-sector employees would have been fired immediately
for these crimes, but the police union is trying to protect these
apparent criminals from just prosecution.

The officers in question have besmirched the reputation of the
police, and their actions are costing city taxpayers, as I write,
investigations, trials, damage claims of the victims, etc., and now
the union wants to stall the investigation in the hopes that this act
against the people fades from memory.

Santa Anans, please contact your council member to express your
outrage and disgust about this incident.
