COUNTY HAS NO MONEY FOR ANYTHING BUT FIGHTING POT

At a time when there is a shortage of police officers in our major
cities in Butte County, the Board of Supervisors continues to brag
about how well Measure A is doing.

When Measure A passed it was interesting to see how fast this county
got everything up and running and the spending that occurred. This
money could have been better used for more police officers and other
things this county needs more. Measure A is total waste of taxpayers'
money and severely limits the amount of medical pot grown for people
that have a medical prescription for it.

People really need to educate themselves on the benefits of pot. They
far outweigh the bad. Most pot farmers don't get rich from growing
pot either and it can be a hard living. What is this county going to
do when it is legal in a few years? They are going to be the first in
line to reap the benefits and get their greedy little hands on the
money generated from taxes.

Now they voted to cut the hours of the Chico library. Bill Connelly
states he is opposed to spending one-time money for paid positions.
He wouldn't make it very long in Silicon Valley with all of the
venture capital and funding that goes into companies. I know, I
worked there 22 years.

Lord help us if Measure A needs any more money, though. We don't live
in the '60s anymore. Get with the times. Replace these people.
