WHY DOES NO ONE DISCUSS THE DANGER OF INHALING SMOKE FROM MARIJUANA?

I keep reading all these opinions on whether pot should be legalized,
however I've read no discussion on what the actual medical
consequences of smoking pot are.

Smoking cigarettes has been outlawed in restaurants, bars, stadiums,
certain areas around public buildings and even on some beaches in
California. All this because smoking cigarettes is considered harmful
to your health.

The actual smoking of a cigarette versus the smoking of a joint are
very similar, except when smoking a joint you inhale more deeply and
hold it longer. Seems to me that this actually would be more harmful
than cigarettes.

Why is this aspect of smoking pot never discussed when talking about
legalizing pot. Heck even e-cigarette's are being outlawed in some
areas and cities.
