AN INFORMED DECISION

On April 26, Steve Henson joined the chorus of voters who, upon
losing an election, accused the winning side of not knowing what they
were doing. "I am not sure that voters really realized that they were
voting to make our state - and the Pueblo County community - the home
of an extensive marijuana grow-and-sell industry." ("Well, here he
goes again...")

He also notes that City Councilman Chris Nicoll "essentially is
saying that voters made a huge mistake." Mr. Henson, you and Mr.
Nicoll are entitled to your opinion, but don't accuse voters of being
ignorant just because they disagree with you.

Perhaps you should read in the same April 26 edition, The Pueblo
Chieftain reporter Peter Strescino's article on Paula McPheeters and
Erin Hergert - two Pueblo West residents who oppose retail marijuana
shops ("Association seeks foes' work records").

Mr. Strescino notes that McPheeters and Hergert say "... people
didn't know what they were voting for in November 2012." He points
out, "This has been a mantra of anti-marijuana activists, despite the
fact that information about possession, cultivation and sales was in
the ballot title."

Thank you, Mr. Strescino, for giving voters credit for knowing what
they were doing.
