REFORM POT LAWS

Suppose I described a country with laws that lined the pockets of
criminals - laws that punished the poor and prevented the sick from
getting their medicine.

A country where police had virtually absolute discretion to enforce
those laws, and used it so that a nice young white person is likely to
escape with a wink and a nod, and a nice young black person - well,
let's just say they won't escape at all.

I know you were first thinking of Russia, but perhaps decided they
can't be that bad. I must be describing some tinpot dictatorship, a
country with a new Big Man and president-for-life every few years.
No.

Take a look in the mirror. That is the state of the laws governing the
prohibition of marijuana in Canada.

It's time for reform, and time for our Big Man to go.

An election can't come soon enough.
