MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Re: Going to pot? While docs are shy to prescribe, Windsor to host
cannabis clinic, by Doug Schmidt, Dec. 19, 2014.

There was a special report in your newspaper on Dec. 20, 2014, about
Dr. Tony Hammer's concerns about the misuse of medical marijuana. I
understand that he is not set up to filter out who would misuse it.

I hope that there are some doctors that will prescribe this.
Marijuana is not a cure but blocks the pain of some problems.

During the early 1980s, I had a migraine headache that was so bad, no
over-the-counter or prescription drugs could help me. I wanted to die.

I was actually thinking how jumping out my apartment window would end
my pain. Someone gave me a little bit of marijuana to make tea and
immediately the pain went away.

Nowadays, when I hear politicians questions the use of medical
marijuana, I don't know if they do not realize how much it is needed
or maybe they are just cruel and uncaring.

I admit that the marijuana also made me feel good but afterward, I
saw that my college homework did not finish itself and realized that
marijuana is not a substitute for real life.

If I just needed it that time, can you imagine what it is like for
someone in constant pain?
