VOTE NO ON MEASURE 91

It astounds me how many people use marijuana or do not use marijuana
and are for this measure as the polls say. The world's social
accepted behavior does not make it right. For some reason the
minority in our nation are swaying public opinion, but the entire
nation has to deal with the consequences.

Tolerance knows no boundaries. But when their behavior affects my
quality of life, it is time for the silent majority to vote and say
enough is enough.

In The Bulletin's Oct. 11 issue, Gary S. Thompson, retired judge,
Prineville, states very well the pros and cons of the issues. Read
the article. Be informed. Big bucks versus quality of life. I did the
financial reporting for the Drug Court in Prineville for many years.
The strides forward the Drug Court achieved in this community were
far-reaching. Approval of Measure 91 would mean many steps backward
for all the social ramifications not only in Prineville but all of Oregon.

The social costs/ramifications of approving this measure are
far-reaching. The media paid by big bucks is leading Oregonians down
the wrong path. Check out their agenda thoroughly.

Also, I love the article re: doesn't pass the smell test in the Oct.
18 Bulletin. How about groundwater? Where are our environmentalists
on this issue? Check out what happened to the city center of Upper
Lake, California.

Let your no vote for other drugs be heard.
