"FOR MY PARTYING"

Thank you for your front page article "Pot proponent hurls
obscenities on video"(Sept. 3). It is increasingly clear that the
chief mouthpiece and financier of Amendment 2 has an agenda beyond
just getting approval of medical marijuana. Proving once again the
truth of "in vino Veritas," John Morgan shows his real self. He
claims to look like George Clooney, but he looks much more like
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

He rants about the police, his debate opponent, and his interest in
using marijuana once he leaves Polk County, while someone chants,
"Where's the cocaine?"

Sadly, this behavior follows his castigation of fellow Democrat
Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who also dared to oppose Amendment 2.

More and more, it appears that this is more about "For My Power, For
My Politics, For My Pot" and now, "For My Partying" than anything
else. It seems it never has been about the people.

With the medical and law enforcement communities standing firmly
against the legalization of medical marijuana, Amendment 2 is a bad idea.

And thanks to Morgan himself, it appears that his campaign is more
about a party than pain management.

I encourage voters to vote against Amendment 2.
