POT PILLS?

Help me understand why, if marijuana has genuine medicinal properties,
it must apparently be sold in the form of cigarettes that produce an
odor unpleasant to many of us. We cannot avoid the emanation in
public, just as we cannot avoid cigarette smoke or perfume in many
situations whether we like them or not. Can it not be offered by
prescription in the form of a liquid, or as pills, so that use remains
private to the patient?
