CITY SHOULD NOT LIMIT POT DISPENSARIES

San Jose's limitations on cannabis dispensaries make no sense. The
tax revenue alone can help finance city and county needs.

Cannabis product sales under control of the law lessen the
proliferation of non-taxed street sales. Articles and TV news stories
about "undesirable" dispensaries in residential and school zones are
constantly written and aired, but I have yet to see a news report
about crime at a dispensary or children hanging around them. These
businesses keep their transactions on the up and up.

I have shopped at several dispensaries for pain creams and sleep aids
and have never seen anyone who was scary looking. Clientele are not
any different from what you might find in a liquor store. Many
patrons aren't looking at products to get high.

Our city and county should not waste time and resources on this
issue. It's likely that California will be one of the states to soon
legalize cannabis.
