POT-CARD HOLDERS MAY LOSE LICENSES

Oregon officials say five home-based child-care centers are owned by
people who have medical-marijuana cards, but the owners may soon have
to give up either their pot cards or their daycare licenses.

Until now, medical-marijuana card holders have been able to get
day-care licenses as long as they don't use marijuana in front of
children in their care, among other conditions.

But after media stories about one of the day-care centers, Gov. John
Kitzhaber directed the Early Learning Council to "take action
necessary" to ensure that marijuana card holders can't be licensed
child-care providers.
