BERNI: MASSA GOING TO THE US A 'TRAITOR'

National Security Secretary Sergio Berni has renewed his criticism of
a US-led report that warns about a "dramatic" increase of drug
consumption in Argentina, questioning also opposition leader Sergio
Massa for his alignment with Washington.

"There are presidential candidates that go to the United States as
traitors," the Kirchnerite said in statements to a radio show today
when queried about the document released this week by the Drug
Enforcement Administration of the US.

According to the official, "millions and millions of Americans consume
drugs." "If there is a country with severe drug problems that is the
US."

"The report lacks official figures, it seems a mere statement (based
on) appreciations because all reports are bilateral and require the
consent of the two countries (involved)," Berni affirmed.

The Security Secretary had made similar statements on Monday with
Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich today defending his position. "Berni's
statements were clear, eloquent and convincing," Capitanich said
earlier this morning, recommending the White House to "better" watch
closely into the US domestic scenario, rather than seeking to "teach
lessons" to other countries.
