Freeman THE EFFECTS OF EDIBLE MARIJUANA Many of us who tried a marijuana-infused cookie or brownie in the early 1970s can attest that it was not a recreational experience. It was like some powerful sleeping pill/sedative with long-lasting effects. I was lethargic for at least eight hours. I regretted doing it that day and will not do it again. These products belong behind the counter in a pharmaceutical setting, not on the shelf like a cookie or a muffin. Nor should they have any type of sweetener in them. I can only imagine how unsettling it must feel at today's THC levels. R.P. Freeman, Fort Collins - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
