MARIJUANA A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN IN BUTTE COUNTY

Read the newspapers, listen to the radio, watch television. Almost
every day another crime is committed in our community by none other
than recreational marijuana users, sellers and thieves.

This month, in a car chase from Chico to Magalia, officers found
marijuana and meth. A probation officer arrested a probation violator
and found a marijuana honey oil lab. He was on probation for assault
with a deadly weapon. An Oroville man was charged with murder after a
marijuana theft "gone bad."

Almost daily there's another violent crime with one thing in common -
marijuana. These criminals now want you to sign a petition to repeal
the new ordinance just voted on by our supervisors. The new ordinance
allows medical users to grow and use the product. What the new
ordinance does, is take the pot for profit away from the growers. It
does not hurt the compassionate users. If these criminals get enough
votes, the referendum will go through and we will be back to last
year's liberal growth ordinance for another grow season.

Do you want your neighbor growing up to 99 plants? That is what will
happen. More assaults, home invasions, robberies, drive-by shootings,
murders - all in the future if the referendum passes. Plus the stench
of next year's harvest. Wake up and think before you sign any
initiative or referendum.
